Today we held a General meeting about the VNSA Elections coming up! If you are interested in running for a position an entry form from Mrs. Stone's office or place it in her mailbox (HSB Nursing Office). Once you are in the running you will begin campaigning. Elections for VNSA Board Member positions will be held on Thursday, December 7. To see the list of positions available CLICK HERE.
If you are wondering how to 'campaign' for a position, just know that it is only the members of VNSA who are allowed to vote (no one else). You may hand out fliers, candy with something cute attached to it along with your name, basically anything creative!
Speaking from a personal perspective, being on the Board of VNSA has led to many opportunities of being able to have an opportunity to go to Conventions, meet new people, take on leadership roles, serving in the community by volunteering, organizing events, and so forth! Be a part of VNSA and run and for a Board position!!

VNSA will be sponsoring a booth at Welcome Back Week! August 28-31. Come out and support VNSA nursing and VCC. See your VNSA Board members for information and sign up sheets if you would like to participate in this event.

Today, Osceola Campus had a mini-event from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. We set up a booth in Building 1 atrium to promote Alcohol Awareness (in reference to Spring Break coming up). We handed out "homemade" booklets (which looked rather professional if I do say so myself ;-), colorful Hawaiian leis, candy, and displayed a huge project board and had a insightful powerpoint, as well as music playing.
Our Advisor, Mrs. Laughman deserves a thank you for helping us out for this event. Also a major thank you goes to Ariane (2nd Vice President) for pursing this idea and presenting this idea to [Osceola] VNSA board members. The following board members including myself (Sally) have worked on Alcohol Awareness week: Trisha Iza Caguiat, Vielka Campos, and Joan Rose Herbolario.
