Action Research (AR) Project
The Utilization of Virtual Office hours to Stimulate Learning-Centered Communities
Evaluation of student learning and faculty participation in Virtual Office Hours for 3 courses taught in Valencia Community College's Nursing Program. The three classes were pre-nursing students, first year nursing students and Fast-track nursing students (Licensed Practical Nurses, Paramedics, Respiratory therapists -all with previous medical knowledge and computer exposure). The research, implementation and evaluation project was conducted by both Dr. Tami Rogers and Susan Stone, Professors of Nursing at Valencia Community College in hopes of introducing this technique to many more educators for use in their course development.
