<<Membership Rules and Regulations>>

 

All students enrolled for a minimum of (3) credit hours per session with a minimum 2.0 GPA on the West Campus shall be eligible to serve as a general member of the Environmental Club. All students enrolled for a minimum of (6) credit hours per session with a minimum 2.0 GPA on the West Campus shall be eligible to serve as an officer of the Environmental Club. The following provisions shall govern the standing of membership for prospective and eligible members:

Regulations:

A. Active Member in Good Standing:

a. Has filled out a Membership Application.

b. Has a GPA of at least a 2.0

c. Is taking at least three Valencia credits at the point of Active Membership Stature

d. Has participated in at least three events or 7 hours of club sanctioned participation hours in a semester to gain Active Membership.

e. Has joined at least one committee

f. Has been awarded Active Membership status with a certificate.

 

B. Keeping Active Membership in Good Standing

a. Maintain participation hours of three events or 7 hours of club sanctioned participation hours per semester of Active Membership.

b. Maintain committee status in the same or a different committee per semester.

 

C. Privileges of Active Membership

a. Is awarded a Community Service Verification letter at the end of the semester with a total amount of Service Hours completed with the Environmental Club.

b. Is awarded an Event Verification letter at the end of the semester with a total amount of Event Participation Hours completed with the Environmental Club.

c. Is awarded a letter of recommendation by the Environmental Club’s advisors at the members’ request.

d. Is awarded and is eligible to wear the official Environmental Club T-shirt.

e. Is awarded a Certificate of Active Membership, which becomes the point of official induction by the Environmental Club.

f. Is eligible to state intent to run for any Environmental Club office, which may become open throughout the semester or during official elections.

g. Is eligible to have status in the first choice among membership divisions in participation of any activity that requires a limited seating capacity, etc. field trips and any other events which the Environmental Club shall pay for active membership participation.

h. Is eligible to vote on any Environmental Club motion that is presented to the General Membership.

i. Is eligible to wear the Environmental Club Stole at graduation-if this is so available.

j. Is eligible to wear the Environmental Club Membership Pin at graduation-if this is so available

k. Is eligible to apply for any Environmental Scholarships available with the addition of the privileges above stated-if these are so available.

 

A. Volunteer Membership:

a. Has participated in any service event within the past semester.

b. Has kept their contact information on the Environmental Club mailing list.

 

B. Privileges of Volunteer Membership

a. Is awarded a Community Service Verification letter at the end of the semester with a total amount of Service Hours completed with the Environmental Club at the Volunteer Member’s request.

b. Is eligible to have status among the remaining membership division in participation of any activity that requires a limited seating capacity.
